Radii “The Jack” Lowtop Sneakers

These are the Radii The Jack Charcoal Brown Canvas Lowtop sneakers from Radii Footwear. This design is a nice classy look, i really feel like they are a little too similar to vans but I would still personally rock them. You can’t go wrong with a pair of kicks like these, they are classy on anything you wear, if your a skater.. just throw a pair of these on. If you have a suit and tie on, you can still throw these on. Jeans and a V-neck? throw these on. These go good with anything. Plus they’re comfortable ! Barely creases at the toe box, plus it’s kind of difficult to dirty them… unless you walk around all day in the mud (that’s a whole different story). Plus the laces on these things are dope, and the insole on this shoe kind of blew my mind. I was expecting some sort of basic thing but when i saw the surrounding of it, it just made me like these sneakers even more. Overall these sneakers are cool, comfortable, and wearable. I would wear them, so I’d be pretty confused if you had trouble on agreeing.

A Visit to Showroom 1201

At my visit to Showroom 1201, I met with a man named Eric Shorter also goes by the name of “E Shorter”. A very nice guy, seems like the type of guy where you can stand there and converse with him for hours and not get bored. At the moment he is packing some serious Radii footwear & a load of Radii snapbacks. He also has some Life Clothing gear that is also pretty awesome. But what really caught my eyes the most were the Silvano Apparel accessories. One of the most amazing pair of glasses & watches I have ever laid my eyes on. I tried a pair on and they were great ! But seeing that E Shorter is down with Life Clothing, Radii, & Silvano Apparel, he holds a Digital Marauders Shirt w/ a Digital Marauders bag & and a Touch Clothing key chain.

100 styles and running shoes

http://www.100styles.com/

I was sent a pair of Colstons and at first site I was in love with them. I have always been a fan of the slip on and for those of you that know me know that  I rock my vans even in the snow. I have always had a problem with Vans, for one they have no padding in them. style11For those of you that rock the classic slip know that if you try to walk in them for moe then an hour your feet are barking. That’s what caught my eye about the Colstons, they had every thing that I loved about my classic slip on Vans but with a little bit more PADDING. I have also never been a fan of leather shoes, I never liked how stiff they felt but these Colston and a nice soft leather to them. There was no breaking in time on these, they felt great from the first day.No doubt I have hung up my Vans for the next level of slip on shoes. If you have a shop you need to stock 100 style and if you are in to shoes you can miss out on these gems. Cut the hype these are just real shoes. Much love for a good job on the design.

Clae Shoes

I’ve been eyeballing this company for months now. Every time i see these kicks in stores i never just browse over them, but they have made me stop and check them out every time. Since they are a bit pricy (average ~ $130 in stores) i usually set them back down but finally got around to it and picked up two pairs. Both are the Russell model, one grey one with leather / fabric combo and the other all leather:

I have to say as a sneaker enthusiast i was relieved to find out that they fit very comfortably (a bit narrow, so you wide footed people out there: this might not be for you), the leather is treated thus soft so it doesn’t pinch your feet when wearing them and they are somewhat robust against scuffs and regular street dust. They look very clean and classy, and can be worn everyday and look sick with some nice denim. they can easily also fit classier outfits like a blazer / tshirt combo.

I also like the color details, that really enhance the overall color of the shoe, like the purple tag on the black shoe above. i have not tested them for endurance but they seem sturdily manufactured so i see them lasting a bit since all the parts are stitched, not glued together.

After checking out their website (http://www.clae.com) i discovered that they make all sorts of different styles, from slip-ons to low and high cuts, some more sporty, some more elegant but they all share the same attributes: clean designs, simple colors, nice materials and all around sleekness. I think they are better than creative recreation footwear which tends to sometime look too high fashion, too slim and the men shoes sometimes look like women sneakers.

So if you want a classy sneaker that convinces through simple style, get on them clae’s!

Starbury VS Nike

Starbury VS Nike

With boxing in the shitter we have to look for what I think would be a good fight. Here is my opening question: Is it the price if something that makes desirable? If so then nike as that on lock. With this whole hype of the throwback shoe driven by crappy shops like Fight club NYC or LA, DQM, and Transit I have found a dimond in the rough. When I first heard about Starburys costing under $10.00 my first thought was crappy payless shoes. I gave Starburys no time of day, there was no way I was going to been seen in NYC or LA  with a pair of $10.00 shoes on my feet. And here I a sit ready to eat my words. I was given a pair to rock no doubt I was a changed man. Price had nothing to do with the fact that these are solid sneeks not only do they look good but fell good as well. It made stop to think how much do Nike’s really cost and how much of my money goes to all the hype and cocaine for the athletes that nike pays. I’m done trash you dunks and be a true treand setter and rock some Starburys. Or you call be a normal Sneaker sheep and kick out the $500.00  for the reissue of some nike that a 12 girl made for .12 cents.

Vans over Nikes

Vans shoes

Well I just bought my self a pair of classic slip on vans for the first time in almost 20 years. This is my boycott to the whole Nike bullshit. Now I know that in some circles, that buying vans would put me on the same level as the whole nike movement. But I guess I really don’t care. I used to rock the classic Chucks but now that nike owns Converse I feel its time to say good buy. Maybe one day when this whole 2000.00 a pair goes away I might think about picking a pair up. But until then its New balance and vans for me.
